care tips
Take good care of your Showy-speedwell and you will enjoy it for many years. Inspect the plant in March for signs of frost damage. Prune the frost-damaged stems so that they will have a healthy bud again. This can be done at the same time as the annual pruning. In summer it's best to remove flowers that are beginning to dry out, this will extend the flowering period considerably. Hebrides in open soil or in pots should not be fed with nitrogen-rich fertilizers, but they will appreciate some fertilizer in April and July. Water your hebe only if necessary in dry periods.
