ficus ginseng bonsai
The Ficus Ginseng Bonsai is a real 'green celebrity' and, although nobody had heard of it a few years ago, today it's making an impressive career! It's like an Asian Hollywood star. The Ficus Microcarpa is one of the easiest bonsai to maintain. In addition, it's extremely resistant to pruning and severe cutting (which many species would not tolerate). It also tolerates neglect in cultivation.
This plant likes a rather warm location and doesn't like sudden drops in temperature. It doesn't tolerate frosts below minus 15 degrees Celsius and doesn't like draughts.

care tips
It likes a bright place, a temperature of about 20 degrees on average (it also tolerates the heat that we suffer in Spain during the summer). It needs moderate watering. To keep the bonsai compact we advise to fertilize it with a liquid fertilizer especially for bonsai every 2 to 4 weeks. Spraying and dusting of the leaves is necessary. If it feels neglected, it will quickly show you: it will lose its leaves. It is a quiet plant and doesn't like to being moved, so place it in a suitable spot so that you don't move it often.
