care tips
The Mother-in-law's Tongue is one of the most resilient houseplants we're familiar with. Your Sansevieria requires a considerable amount of sunlight to thrive, making it an ideal choice for rooms that receive limited natural light. If you place it in a spot with direct sunlight or full sun, its leaves will take on a lighter green hue. It's also quite low-maintenance when it comes to watering, as it's only susceptible to waterlogged soil. This plant copes remarkably well with excessive heat and dry spells
The Sansevieria doesn't grow particularly quickly, so it doesn't require a lot of nutrients. A small dose of fertiliser or liquid manure during the spring or summer months is sufficient – approximately one-quarter of the recommended amount on the packaging. Be cautious not to overdo it, as excessive fertilisation can cause the soil to become too acidic, potentially damaging the roots.
health
In addition to adding a splash of colour and a touch of warmth to your home during the day, the Sansevieria also has the unique ability to convert carbon dioxide into oxygen at night, making it a valuable asset for indoor spaces. Moreover, this plant has been shown to reduce the likelihood of eye irritation and alleviate respiratory issues, creating a healthier environment for those who inhabit the space.
