alocasia potting soil
The alocasia potting soil mix features vermiculite rather than the more commonly used perlite. This helps the soil retain moisture for a longer period. Vermiculite is excellent at holding water and releases it back into the soil gradually. Consequently, it makes it simpler to maintain an even moisture level for your alocasia, reducing the frequency of watering and allowing you more time to appreciate your plant!

use and application
Using the Alocasia potting soil mix is straightforward! Begin by removing as much of the old soil as possible. Gently squeeze the pot while holding it on its side to loosen the plant. Rinse the roots under lukewarm tap water to wash away any remaining bits of soil. Also, be sure to trim away any dead leaves that may still be attached to the plant with a pair of scissors. Now your plant is ready for its fresh alocasia soil.
Add a small layer of alocasia mix at the bottom of the pot. Place the plant in the pot and gradually add the alocasia soil around the sides to fill it up. Ensure that the point where the roots meet the plant is just below the surface of the alocasia soil. Lightly press down the alocasia mix into the pot. After repotting, remember to water the alocasia mix thoroughly, as this will help settle the mix and roots.
