anthurium potting soil
As Anthuriums are epiphytic and typically have larger root systems, this mix contains a generous amount of coconut husk and orchid bark to accommodate that growth. Given their susceptibility to rot, the inclusion of activated carbon and perlite ensures that the soil maintains both aeration and purification at all times. This significantly reduces the risk of root rot, making it the ideal mix for Anthuriums!

use and application
Using the mix is straightforward! Begin by removing as much of the old soil as you can. Gently squeeze the pot while tilting it to help loosen the plant. Rinse the roots under lukewarm tap water to wash away any remaining bits of soil.
Additionally, be sure to snip off any dead leaves that may still be attached to the plant using scissors. Your plant will now be ready for its new Anthurium soil. Start by adding a thin layer of the soil mix at the bottom of the pot.
Position the plant in the pot and gradually fill the sides with Anthurium soil. Ensure that the area where the roots connect to the plant is just below the surface of the potting soil.
Gently press the substrate mix down into the pot. After repotting, it's essential to water the mix thoroughly, as this will help settle both the mix and the roots.
