calathea & maranta potting soil
The Calathea & Maranta mix contains both perlite and vermiculite, providing excellent drainage while still retaining some moisture thanks to the vermiculite. This helps maintain an even level of moisture in the soil. The root system will thrive and expand, reducing the frequency of watering, which gives you more time to appreciate your plants!

use and application
Using the mix is simple! Begin by removing as much of the old soil as you can. Gently squeeze the pot while tilting it to help loosen the plant. Rinse the roots under lukewarm tap water to wash away any remaining bits of soil.
Next, use scissors to cut away any dead leaves that may still be attached to the plant. Your plant is now ready for its new Calathea & Maranta soil. Start by adding a thin layer of the mix at the bottom of the pot.
Position the plant in the pot and gradually add more Calathea & Maranta soil around the sides to fill the pot. Ensure that the junction where the roots meet the stem is just below the surface of the soil.
Gently press down the Calathea & Maranta mix into the pot. Be sure to water the mix thoroughly after repotting, as this will help settle both the mix and the roots.
