care tips
The Mandarin tree thrives in a Mediterranean climate, but it's not a particularly hardy species. If you're growing it in a pot, you'll need to bring it indoors during the winter months when it freezes or gets very cold. During the warmer months (March to September), make sure to provide your tree with regular watering. It's also important to note that Mandarins require a good amount of fertilizer, specifically macro and micro nutrients, to stay healthy and happy.
It's a plant that usually suffers from deficiencies, especially magnesium and zinc. The mandarin will have to be watered too, the soil must be moist, but it should not be puddled. Water it a little bit in the summer every day and in less hot times twice a week. We also recommend cleaning pruning once a year in February.
health
The mandarin fruit itself is a rich source of vitamin C, which offers numerous benefits for the skin when consumed or applied topically.
