The plant's unique leaves can snap shut in just 0.1 seconds to trap prey, which is then digested by enzymes in the plant's digestive glands.

care tips

To keep your Venus Fly Trap happy and healthy, provide it with bright, indirect light and maintain a consistent temperature between 65-75°F (18-24°C). Water your Venus Fly Trap thoroughly, but make sure the pot drains well to prevent root rot, and feed it with live insects 1-2 times a week to encourage blooming. Avoid over-fertilizing, as this can cause the plant to rot, and repot your Venus Fly Trap every 3 years to provide it with fresh soil and a larger pot if necessary.
