The stylish areca or gold palm originates from the island of Madagascar. There an endangered plant, but fortunately on the Caribbean islands they are still a lot. In full sun the leaves turn yellow and because the flowers of this areca are also yellow, that's why it's also called the gold palm. The Areca is not easy, but popular in interiors. Under the right conditions this palm can grow up to your ceiling. In nature this plant grows about 10 meters high.

care tips
Put the areca in a light spot. This palm does not do well in strongly fluctuating temperatures. Give the palm lukewarm water during the summer. Preferably 2 to 3 times a week every week and once a week in winter, but then with lukewarm cold water.
If the soil dries out completely and is too wet, the plant will lose its leaves.
