staghorn fern hanging plant
The Platicerum Bifurcatum, or do we need to mention the more common name: Staghorn Fern owes its nickname to the special shape of the leaves when they are fully developed. Originally the platicerum is from Australia, where it grows in the shade of rocky areas. There is a dusty layer on the leaves, so the plant evaporates less moisture and can withstand dry air better.

care tips
Place or hang your Staghorn Fern in a position with plenty of light and be careful with the sun's rays. Try to keep the potting soil slightly moist by regularly giving it small amounts of water.
The leaves of the mantle (medium, shorter leaves) of this fern will become withered over time. Don't try to remove this leaf: the plant uses it to store food and for extra support. After a while, the leaves on the mantle will always fall off. The fallen leaves provide nutrition for the plant.
