trio sansevierias in zinc pots
This trio of Sansevieria plants in zinc pots is a nice combination. The plant is also known as 'Mother-in-law tongue’ or 'Snake plant’. It’s a very popular houseplant because of several reasons. All Sansevieria varieties have in common that they adapt well to all conditions: they are resistant to dry air, water shortage and they don't need much natural light either. We know that this plant is slow grower and and for many that can be an advantage.
Another great advantage is that the mother-in-law tongues clean the air in your home from toxins such as benzene, formaldehyde, trichloroethylene, toluene and xylene. They’re also plants that produce a good amount of oxygen to create a healthy space in your home.

Care tips
The Sansevieria is a low-demanding, easy-to-grow and drought-tolerant plant. It is best grown in a bright spot with diffused light or in semi-shade. Mother-in-law's tongue doesn’t tolerate excess water. Watering once every two weeks is more than sufficient. The substrate must be fairly fertile, rich in humus and well drained. It is worth remembering that this plant will forgive us any negligence, except over-watering. In short: it will withstand water shortage, fertilizer, light and there is no need to transplant it to another pot for a long time.
